Access to emergency ambulance services has become easier in Tamil Nadu. The public can now request the 108 ambulance service through a WhatsApp Chatbot facility, which has been launched to further ease the burden on emergency services and enhance public access.

Health Minister Ma. Subramanian on Thursday launched the WhatsApp Chatbot facility through which the public can send “Hi” via WhatsApp to the Tamil Nadu Health System Project number – 94450 30725, share their location, and generate an “Incident ID” for ambulance dispatch. Real-time updates, vehicle details, information on nearest government hospital, and tracking facilities are provided to ensure transparency and faster response, a press release said.
