As many as 1,278 students received degrees across various programmes, including B.E., BArch., M.Tech., M.Arch., MBA, and MCA, at the 17th graduation ceremony of Ramaiah Institute of Technology held on Wednesday (October 8, 2025).
U. Dinesh Kumar, acting director of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B), addressed the graduating students, emphasising the importance of empathy and responsibility in both personal and professional life.
Dr. Kumar cautioned against the arrogance that can accompany success and stressed that progress is achieved through understanding, not conflict. On the topic of artificial intelligence, he encouraged students to view it as a collaborative tool rather than a threat.

M.R. Sitaram, GEF chairman, spoke about the responsibilities that follow graduation, reminding students to contribute to society and uphold the values of the institution. He noted that students would now face global competition and urged them to make the best use of the skills they acquired.
Other dignitaries present included vice-president M.R. Janakiram, secretary M.R. Anand Ram, directors M.R. Sampangiramaiah and M.R. Kodandaram, principal N.V.R. Naidu, executive director H.V. Parswanath, and chief academic advisor, GEF, Karisiddappa.
