A 30-year-old police constable was killed in a road accident on the Vedaranyam-Nagapattinam main road at Vanavanmahadevi in the district on Tuesday (March 10, 2026).
Police sources said constable N. Vinayagam, who was working in the modern control room at the District Police Office in Nagapattinam, was riding a two-wheeler to work from his house when the fatal accident occurred at around 9 a.m.
