The Minority Welfare Department organised an educational workshop on Wednesday at Dr. Ambedkar Bhavan, Vasanth Nagar, Bengaluru.
B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan, Minister for Housing, Minority Welfare, and Waqf, chaired the event. In his address, the minister lauded the academic achievements of the department-run residential schools and colleges, which recorded 91% pass rate in SSLC and 98% in PUC examinations for the academic year 2024–25.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment in promoting minority education by enhancing infrastructure, offering incentives, and investing in teacher development programs.
As part of the celebrations, 143 students who scored above 95% in SSLC and PUC were awarded laptops along with cash incentives of ₹10,000 and ₹15,000, respectively. 36 teachers/lecturers and 4 principals/headmasters were honored for their outstanding contributions to student success. District and field-level officials—including 3 District Officers, 3 Taluk Minority Extension Officers, and 3 Wardens—were recognised for the effective implementation of educational and welfare schemes.
40 schools and colleges that achieved a 100% pass rate in 2024–25 were felicitated. 28 subject-wise State-level resource persons were acknowledged for their valuable academic contributions.
