Chrysalis AI launched to help teachers, parents

In an effort to make artificial intelligence (AI) a tool for educators and parents, Chrysalis AI was launched on Thursday in Chennai.

Speaking at the launch event Chitra Ravi, founder and CEO of Chrysalis said, “Chrysalis AI goes beyond numbers to uncover misconceptions, thought processes, and emotional growth. It empowers teachers and parents to see each child as a whole learner, capable of growth in cognitive, social, and meta-cognitive dimensions. Our goal is not to replace teachers but to amplify their impact.”

Highlighting the urgent need for schools to shift from traditional performance tracking to holistic, personalised learning journeys, she said that Chrysalis AI offers an empathetic, and research-backed solution to bridge learning gaps, improve academic outcomes, and promote inclusive education.

Two years in the making, Chrysalis AI will offer real-time insights into strengths and areas for the improvement of the students with personalised feedback while for teachers it will offer detailed learning profiles of each child with evidence-based recommendations for interventions. The AI programme was released on a pilot basis to about 1,000 schools last year. Presently, Chrysalis AI is available up to Class VIII.

“The parents receive AI-powered term-wise reports through our app that go beyond identifying struggles and also practical suggestions for supporting learning at home,” said Ms. Chitra while adding that the child also gets digital quizzes and practice.

Further, to ensure that educators and parents not only use AI, but also to use it efficiently, Chrysalis introduced AI Samarth, an AI literacy module. “The free AI literacy initiative aims to democratise access to AI knowledge,” she added.
