Police on Friday night arrested a 38-year-old man for allegedly murdering his wife following a domestic quarrel in Medvavakkam.
The accused, Sathyaseelan, a daily wage labourer, who often quarrelled with his wife suspecting her loyalty as she frequently spoke on her mobile phone. The victim has been identified as Meena, 40.
Police said Sathyaseelan came home under the influence of alcohol on Friday,attacked Meena after finding her on a call. He allegedly kicked and stabbed her throat using a knife. Neighbours who heard her scream, alerted Medavakkam police. Police reached the spot on the alert and recovered her body. Further investigation is on.
