Marking World Heart Day, which fell on September 29, The Hindu presents a webinar, ‘Sudden cardiac deaths in young individuals: understanding causes, prevention and heart health awareness.’ The webinar is open to all, and will be held on Sunday, October 5 at 11 a.m.
The webinar will address the growing concern of sudden cardiac deaths among young individuals, focusing on risk factors, lifestyle influences, early warning signs and preventive measures. It will also highlight current medical approaches and awareness strategies to reduce incidence and improve outcomes.

The session will feature experts in the field of cardiology: Priya Chockalingam, clinical director, Cardiac Wellness Institute and consultant, inherited heart diseases, Kauvery Hospital as well as Kannan K, director, Institute of Cardiology, Madras Medical College and Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital. The webinar will be moderated by Geetha Srimathi S., senior reporter with The Hindu.
