Jackie Shroff recently welcomed filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan to his expansive farmhouse located between Mumbai and Pune. The duo spent the day cooking a traditional meal and exploring the serene, green surroundings of the actor’s countryside retreat.

Spread across nearly 44,000 square feet, the farmhouse is one of Jackie Shroff’s most cherished spaces. He purchased the property to commemorate his 25th wedding anniversary, and it has since become a personal haven, surrounded by lush greenery and natural beauty.
A Day at Jackie Shroff’s Farm
During her visit, Farah Khan joined Jackie in preparing patte ki bhaaji, an organic leafy vegetable dish, cooked in clay pots on a rustic chulha (wood-fired stove). The open-air kitchen at the farmhouse is known for its use of fresh, homegrown ingredients, staying true to an organic and sustainable lifestyle.
As they walked through the grounds, Jackie showed Farah the various features of the property — including a large fish pond with ducks, a poultry area, and a flourishing garden of organic fruits and vegetables. The property also includes a sizable swimming pool with a Jacuzzi, an open-air amphitheatre, and an akhada-style gym equipped with both traditional and modern fitness tools.
Inside the house are several rooms for family members and guests, while the open kitchen adds to the earthy, rustic charm of the space.
Personal Touches and Playful Moments
One of the highlights of the visit was when Jackie pointed out a tree he had planted 12 years ago on his late mother’s birthday. The heartfelt gesture left Farah visibly touched. He also mentioned plans to expand the space to accommodate cattle in the near future.
Curious about the property’s potential as a film location, Farah asked, “Dada, is shooting allowed here?” Jackie smiled and replied, “For you, everything is allowed.” He later showed her his favourite spot on the property, affectionately nicknamed “Titanic Point,” where the two recreated the iconic pose from the film Titanic. When asked how many plants he had on the farm, Jackie replied, “I believe over 700.” Farah joked, “Don’t tell me you take these plants to parties?” Jackie responded with a grin, “I do.”
Before heading into the kitchen, Farah and her longtime cook Dilip performed a fun skit on the amphitheatre stage. Jackie, impressed, asked if she had trained him. Farah laughed, “I’ve forgotten everything.” Jackie quipped, “I thought you got tired of teaching me!”
