The Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to begin its full operations from its new address on Deendayal Upadhyay Marg – the party’s permanent office in the Capital – on October 25, ‘Nahay Khay’, which marks the beginning of Chhath Puja, the party stated in a release.
Some party leaders have started to shift from the old office on 14 Pant Marg, where the BJP has been based since 1991, to its newly built five-storey building, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 29.
Key party leaders, such as State general secretary (organisation) Pawan Rana, general secretary Vishnu Mittal, and treasurer Satish Garg, have already started working from the new office. Office secretary Brijesh Rai and the media head Praveen Shankar Kapoor also began working from the new premises on Wednesday.
State-of-the-art facilities
The new office, spread over 30,000 square feet, is built on an 825-square-metre plot. It features a state-of-the-art structure and eco-friendly modern amenities, including two basement levels for parking. The building features a press conference hall on the ground floor, a 200-seat auditorium on the first floor, and offices for party leaders on the upper levels.
