Women’s ODI World Cup, India vs Bangladesh: match reduced to 43 overs a side due to rain

The match between India and Bangladesh was reduced to 43 overs a side in their final league game of the Women’s ODI World Cup in Navi Mumbai on October 26, following a lengthy rain delay in Navi Mumvauon Sunday (October 24, 2025).

The match is now scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m. (local time).

As per the revised playing conditions, there will be a nine-over powerplay, while the number of overs per bowler is capped at nine, in accordance with the one-fifth rule for reduced-overs matches.

India, who have already qualified for the semifinals, opted to bowl.

India made three changes to their playing eleven, bringing in Uma Chetry, Radha Yadav and Amanjot Kaur in place of rested Richa Ghosh, Kranti Gaud and Sneh Rana.

India have qualified for the semifinals while Bangladesh have been eliminated.

Toss was delayed by 35 minutes due to rain.
