Parvathy and Dileesh Pothan to come together in Don Palathara’s next

Malayalam actors Parvathy Thiruvothu and Dileesh Pothan will headline acclaimed filmmaker Don Palathara’s next film.

The news was shared by Parvathy on her social media handle. ‘Stepping into a world created by @don.palathara with none other than my favourite @dileeshpothan’, wrote Parvathy. The film’s title and other details are awaited.

Don, who has to his credit several acclaimed films, made his debut with Shavam, a small-budget movie that travelled to several film festivals. His second film, Vith, which he wrote, produced and edited as well, was made through crowdfunding. Then came 1956, Central Travancore, which was premiered at the Moscow International Film Festival.

Don’s other notable works are Santhoshathinte Onnam Rahasyam, which starred Rima Kallingal and Jitin Puthanchery; Everything Is Cinema, a first-person narrative, which premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam; and Family (2023), starring Vinay Forrt and Divya Prabha, which was officially selected for the same festival.

Parvathy’s new Malayalam projects include i, Nobody with Prithviraj, directed by Nissam Basheer, and Prathama Drishtya Kuttakkaar with Vijayaraghvan and Mathew Thomas, directed by Shahad. She is also part of Storm, the thriller series produced by Hrithik Roshan for Prime Video, in which she will be acting alongside Alaya F, Srishti Shrivastava, Rrama Sharma, and Saba Azad.
