The SMVEC Centre of Legal Education at the Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College recently organised ‘Induction Day’ for new batches of B.A.LL.B., B.B.A.LL.B., and LL.B. students.
Several legal luminaries and academicians participated in the event to greet the aspiring legal professionals of the Induction Day ceremony (fourth batch) hosted by the institution, a press note said.
Addressing the students, Madras High Court Judge Justice P.B. Balaji advised law students that once they entered the legal profession, they should never forget the three ‘C’ s -court , case, and client.
M. Dhanasekaran, Chancellor of Takshashila University and SMVE Trust CMD, in his presidential address, highlighted the institution’s commitment to nurturing legal talent and its vision for producing socially responsible and competent legal practitioners. “Our aim is to equip students with not just legal knowledge, but also critical thinking and a strong sense of social responsibility”.
K. Narayanasamy, secretary, SMVE Trust, D. Rajarajan, treasurer, and S. Velayudham, joint secretary, offered felicitations.
V.S.K. Venkatachalapathy, Director cum Principal of SMVEC, and A. Vincent Arputhom, Dean, Centre of Legal Education, also addressed the students.
