Days of Our Lives puts Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) busy down in the secret lab with a competent assistant, it seems quite clear that he and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) are about to raise the dead. We have an idea of who may be dragged back from the grave. In fact, we might get three resurrections soon. It’s Belynda from Soap Dirt, and the Peacock soap may be going full sci-fi again.
By the way, all three of the resurrections we’re going to talk about are ‘A’ people. People whose names start with the letter A. We’ve seen the adult-sized test tube in Dr. Rolf ‘s lab. Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) talked to whoever the person was in the box at the time before they popped it open, and we saw the test tube, and she said, “Welcome home.”
Then Dr. Rolf talked about bringing this person back, and EJ DiMera’s been saying similar stuff. So fantastic medical miracles are coming soon, and it could be huge. There may be more test tubes to come. Plus, we know with the gala over, EJ secret lab is going to be the focus of a big, crazy umbrella story we’re about to get on Days, and Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) ill health may tie into it along with some resurrections.
The Phoenix Rises Again? Stefano DiMera’s Potential Return to Days of Our Lives
There’s a lot of chatter concerning family patriarch Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo). For months, they have been dropping hints that he’s going to be back. But with brilliant actor Joseph Mascolo sadly passed on, any resurrection of Stefano would either be a recast or a proxy. I doubt fans would embrace a recast of Stefano. So, I expect that his essence, memories, or consciousness is going to be embedded in somebody again, like what Days did when they implanted that chip into Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols). He was basically Stefano a while. But we were all calling him Stephen-O.
Thankfully, that chip was destroyed. I’m sure they could have made another one, a better one. I have a few guesses at who new Stefano would be. And you know, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) is one since he’s gone missing. But also, there have been clues dropped about Dimitri von Leuschner DiMera (Peter Porte) being taken and the presence of Stefano at the mansion. And that points fingers at Dimitri. The Stefano thing also ties three other possible resurrections together. These are the ‘A’ resurrections.
Resurrection #1: Could Andre DiMera Be Back From the Dead on DOOL?
First, we could see Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) back from the dead soon. If that is really Tony DiMera (also Thaao Penghlis) stuck in this crypt with Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), well then Andre might be the kidnapper. Tony’s lookalike was presumed dead since January 2018 when Abigail Deveraux DiMera (AnnaLynne McCord) cracked him over the head with the urn that was supposedly holding Tony’s ashes. And of course, he turned out not to be dead. So, of course, Andre could also not be dead.
Back when she killed him, Abby Deveraux (AnnaLynne McCord) was dealing with dissociative identity disorder. And she was her alter ego, Gabby. Not Gabi like Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez). But G-A-B-B-Y, who was basically Abigail Deveraux DiMera’s version of her, was also weird and interesting. But this also wasn’t the first time Andre died on Days of Our Lives. So, we’ll have to wait and see if that’s Tony down in the crypt or if Andre has come back or if both things are happening.
A Murder Mystery Unravels on Days of Our Lives: Is Abigail Deveraux DiMera Alive?
The second resurrection of an ‘A’ is Abigail Deveraux DiMera. I recently talked about my theory about why I think Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) might really be Abigail Deveraux. So, it could be that Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) wife Abigail, was not brutally murdered. If you remember, Clyde Weston (James Read) targeted Abby because her investigative journalism had exposed his drug ring.
So, it could be that Kate is really Abigail but doesn’t have her memories, or Dr. Rolf and EJ might have Abby in another human-sized test tube waiting to be resurrected and surprising everybody. With all the recent talk about Clyde and Abigail this story is definitely taking on new life and it feels like it’s getting legs. Clyde could come out of his coma and spill the tea about what really happened and why Abigail’s grave is empty, because maybe she’s alive.
From the Ashes of Tragedy on DOOL: Will Adrienne Kiriakis Be Resurrected?
Alright. Now, let’s talk about the third resurrection. Another ‘A’. If you’ve been paying attention to the dialogue on Days of Our Lives recently, you’ll know Adrienne Johnson Kiriakis (Judi Evans) has been mentioned quite a few times lately. So, she might be the third ‘A’ who is resurrected. Andre, Abby, and then maybe Adrienne. So maybe Dr. Rolfand EJ DiMera are just going to resurrect people in alphabetical order. Maybe that’s the plan.
Recently, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) had talked about his bonus mom, Adrienne, very fondly. And during the flashbacks at the free clinic gala, we saw Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) telling Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) that his sister Adrienne had died. If you recall, she was in a really bad car crash and died from severe injuries in a head-on collision.
Adrienne had been driving Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) to the hospital because she was in labor. And Orpheus (George DelHoyo) and his terrible son Evan caused the crash. But they framed Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) and made it look like she was driving drunk, and she ended up in jail. Anyway, Adrienne died. And so did Sarah’s little baby McKenzie as a result of this accident.
The Grand Conspiracy: How DiMeras and Kiriakises Could Clash in an Epic Resurrection Storyline
Alright, drum roll, please. This is where it could all tie together in true Days of Our Lives fashion, where resurrections and crazy experiments are a staple of the 60-year-old soap, thanks to Dr. Rolf’s serums and body swaps and other feats of the nearly supernatural. These individuals—Andre DiMera, Abigail Deveraux, and Adrienne Johnson Kiriakis—are all tied to the decades-long DiMera-Kiriakis rivalry. So, they’d all be perfect choices to resurrect and tie into the coming umbrella story on Days of Our Lives.
We know the Kiriakis family business is struggling to stay afloat after all the dirty things that Tony just pulled. Granted, he was trying to get DiMera away from Titan. Butt he went really low with that, which is out of character for him. Not to mention all the family drama over the Kiriakis with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Sarah and Maggie and others.
Stefano DiMera Resurrected on Days of Our Lives?
So, we have to consider whether the writers are constructing a larger conspiracy masterminded by the resurrected Stefano or his Phoenix essence that’s been stuck into somebody else. And that might be why Andre, Abigail, and Adrienne, all could come back. This could be Dr. Rolf bringing them back using advanced technology or a serum he invented, which we’ve seen him do before. Plus, Abigail is a DiMera by marriage. And Andre, who is one of the core DiMeras, could be revived to manipulate Chad and try and get his cut of the empire.
Adrienne’s Return Brings Answers on DOOL?
And of course, Adrienne’s return as a Kiriakis could expose hidden alliances that have to do with Clyde, who was supposedly Abby’s killer, and Orpheus, who caused Adrienne’s crash. So, the question is, has Adrienne been there? And that’s not really Bonnie we’ve seen all this time. That’s another theory that’s floating. Mind control and brainwashing are all tools of the trade for Dr. Rolf. They may all have been used as pawns to weaken the Kiriakis family.
And they will continue to wreak havoc until they escape the control of EJ and Dr. Rolf and, if they’re doing it, new Stefano DiMera. Hopefully, it won’t be much longer before we find out who’s in the big frozen people tube, exactly what Dr. Rolf and EJ have planned, how Dr. Marke Greene (Jonah Robinson) is going to help them do all this sick science. And what else may be coming soon, including other resurrections that have been hinted at for quite a while.
