Three years since its set up, the robotic surgery centre at the Tamil Nadu Government Multi Super Speciality Hospital (TNGMSSH), Omandurar Estate has completed 500 surgeries.

Health Minister Ma. Subramanian said the centre was established in March 2022 at a cost of ₹34.60 crore.
