While Chhaava has topped the list, the other contenders are quite interesting too, how many of these have you watched till now?
Chhaava tops the list of IMDb’s most popular Indian movie of 2025—so far
Vicky Kaushal, Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Chhaava, which released in February this year, seems to be a fan favourite or atleast has got everyone searching for it on the internet. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava narrates the journey of warrior-king Sambhaji Maharaj, who battles Mughal forces led by Aurangzeb after the death of his father. This historical drama puts focus on the Maratha empire’s war against the Mughals in the 17th century.

Aamir Khan’s recent release, Sitaare Zameen Par, has also created buzz on the internet, while still running in theatres. This movies featured in the list have released in India between January 1, 2025 and July 1, 2025 and have an average IMDb user rating of six or higher, with at least 10,000 votes.
