Nancy, the 84-year-old mother of Today cohost Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing by her family on February 1. She is believed to have been abducted from her Tucson, Arizona, home in the middle of the night, and her home has been considered an active crime scene amid the investigation. Local police and the FBI have recovered DNA evidence and video surveillance from the scene.

On Wednesday, February 25, law enforcement sources told NBC News that Nancy’s home will be returned to her family. However, the sheriff’s department has stressed that the investigation will continue.

“This remains an active investigation and will continue until Nancy Guthrie is located or all leads have been exhausted,” the department’s statement read on Friday. “The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is refocusing resources to detectives specifically assigned to this case. As leads are developed and resolved, resource allocation may fluctuate. PCSD will maintain a patrol presence in the Guthrie neighborhood.”

The statement also addressed newly emerged Ring camera footage from a resident of Nancy’s Catalina Foothills neighborhood. The video, shared by Fox News Digital on Thursday, showed a car speeding out of the neighborhood around 2:30 a.m., shortly after the time that Nancy is believed to have been abducted.

“Investigators are actively reviewing surveillance video of vehicles traveling in the Catalina Foothills area, including areas farther from the Guthrie residence,” the department explained, encouraging “homeowners in the surrounding community to submit any relevant footage.”

The statement continued, “Investigators continue to review hundreds of hours of surveillance footage, and we thank those who have already provided video to assist in this investigation.”

Savannah, 54, recently revealed that her family raised the reward for Nancy’s return to $1 million. The FBI confirmed that its own additional $100,000 reward is still active for credible information that may lead to Nancy’s recovery.

“Someone knows how to find our mom and bring her home,” Savannah captioned an emotional Instagram video on Tuesday, February 24.

The TV personality said in the video, “Coming on to say it is day 24 since our mom was taken in the dark of night from her bed, and every hour and minute and second and every long night has been agony since then, of worrying about her and fearing for her, aching for her, and most of all, just missing her, missing her. We know that millions of you have been praying. So many people have been praying of every faith and no faith at all, praying for her return, and we feel those prayers. Please keep praying without ceasing. We still believe. We still believe in a miracle.”

Savannah also acknowledged the possibility that her mother “may already be gone.”

“She may have already gone home to the Lord that she loves and is dancing in heaven with her mom and her dad and with her beloved brother, Pierce, and with our daddy, then if this is what is to be, then we will accept it,” she continued. “But we need to know where she is. We need her to come home.”
