Ahead of Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has tightened its vigil, leading to seizure of unaccounted cash, silver, and gold articles.
On Friday, the RPF personnel from Chennai Central, in coordination with special teams deployed in view of ongoing election vigilance, detected and seized unaccounted cash, gold and silver valuables worth ₹1.25 crore at Central station and gold worth approximately ₹50.65 lakh at the Perambur railway station.
