Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) Chairman K. Madhu Murthy on Thursday discussed key issues related to the ongoing initiatives in the higher education sector with his Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) Chairman V. Balakista Reddy.
Prof. Murthy emphasised the need to strengthen collaboration between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The discussions revolved around enhancing academic excellence, promoting research and innovation, fostering institutional partnerships and improving student development initiatives in both States.
Prof. Murthy briefed the TGCHE chief on the various academic initiatives being undertaken in Andhra Pradesh. He highlighted programmes such as quantum technologies and extensive implementation of National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), aimed at improving the quality of teaching-learning processes and expanding access to high-quality online courses for students and faculty.
Prof. Balakista Reddy underscored the need to equip students in both States with skills in emerging and advanced technologies to meet global academic and industry requirements.
He said both the Councils should actively share expertise, the best practices and resources to create a future-ready students.
Prof. Madhu Murthy and Prof. Balakista Reddy exchanged the council diaries. Vice-Chairman of the council S. Vijaya Bhaskar Rao, Vice-Chairperson K. Ratna Shiela Mani and Secretary B. Tirupati Rao also participated in the discussions.
