A.P. to get 17 new fire stations soon

Director General of Police (Fire Services) P.V. Ramana Rao, announced on Sunday that 17 new fire stations would be established with the 15th Finance Commission grant in Andhra Pradesh. Of these at least six fire stations have been proposed in Zone-II, which comprises of districts in the Krishna-Godavari region.

Speaking to the media after a review with the Zone-II officials, Mr. Ramana Rao said; “At least 161 fire tenders of various capacities will soon be added to the existing fleet of tenders across the State”.

On the ongoing drive to renovate buildings of the fire stations, Mr. Ramana Rao said that the renovation of the 36 fire station buildings is nearing completion across the State.
