The Abbott Elementary teachers are back for another school year, and I couldn’t be more excited. This Emmy-winning series picks back up with its fifth season this fall, and I am ready for it.
So, to celebrate the new school year, we had the cast of Abbott Elementary — Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Janelle James, Chris Perfetti, and William Stanford Davis — play a game of Who’s Who to see how well they know each other.
First, the cast wasted no time revealing that Sheryl is the one who is most likely to forget her lines on set. And she took the title with dignity, but Quinta did admit the writers purposefully give Barbara some of the tougher lines to memorize.
Then, while everyone thought Sheryl/Barbara would win a Teacher of the Year award, Janelle made a very strong case for why Ava would actually win it.
They were all in agreement that Quinta is the one who is most likely to start laughing during a serious scene, but only when she’s not in the scene and watching from the monitors.
And everyone agreed that Lisa Ann Walter is the biggest over-texter in their cast’s group chat, which is called “The New Abbott group chat,” because previously Janelle didn’t have an iPhone.
