A total of 1,000 saplings were planted at the campus of the Tamil Nadu Special Police IV Battalion in Kovaipudur, Coimbatore, on Wednesday.
The afforestation drive organised by Siruthuli saw over 500 student volunteers participate.
The event was held in the presence of TSP IV Battalion Commandant T. Senthilkumar and Vanitha Mohan, managing trustee of Siruthuli, who highlighted the shared responsibility of institutions, communities, and youth in environmental conservation.
The initiative was supported by Coimbatore Round Table 9, Coimbatore Ladies Circle 1, Coimbatore City Round Table 31, and Coimbatore City Ladies Circle 16.
