Anushka Sen, one of India’s most-followed young digital stars, has officially announced her debut in the music industry with the launch of her first single, ‘Chameleon’, which releases worldwide today along with its audio version. The project marks a significant milestone in her career as she expands her creative slate beyond acting and content creation.

For her musical debut, Anushka has collaborated with two-time Grammy Award-winning American producer Ken Lewis, who is also an eight-time nominee and known for working with some of the biggest artists in the world—including Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, and Kanye West—with 79 Billboard No. 1 credits to his name. Their collaboration was recorded during Anushka’s recent trip to the U.S., resulting in a pop anthem shaped by Lewis’ global production style.
Anushka, who has nearly 40 million followers across social media platforms, has grown up in the spotlight—from being a popular child actor on television to becoming a leading youth creator with a strong digital footprint. Her OTT debut in 2024 with the Prime Video coming-of-age series Dil Dosti Dilemma further expanded her audience, earning praise for her authentic performance. Now, she sets out to explore music, a space she describes as deeply personal and longstanding.
Sharing the emotion behind her debut as a singer, Anushka said, “Music has always been a part of my life, but I never imagined I’d have the courage to actually create something of my own and share it with the world. Chameleon was born out of a very personal space, it’s about evolution, identity, and not letting the world define you… The idea behind Chameleon came from how I see myself as an artist and as a person, someone who adapts, grows, learns, and keeps discovering new sides of herself. I wanted the song to celebrate that freedom, the freedom to change your colors unapologetically… This is me showing a side of myself that I’ve never shown before.”
She further added, “Music has been part of my journey for a very long time, have always been inspired by my mum who has been someone I have learnt music and singing from since my childhood… Through this new journey I’ll be able to learn and be able to merge everything and create something new.”
The release of ‘Chameleon’ marks a fresh chapter for Anushka as she continues to shape her identity as a multi-hyphenate artist. With a global collaborator like Ken Lewis and a personal story driving the song, her musical debut aims to inspire young audiences who relate to reinvention and creative freedom.
