Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Wing, Virudhunagar district, has registered a case of disproportionate assets against a Revenue Inspector in Aruppukottai municipality, Krishnamoorthi, and his wife Karthigaiselvi on Thursday.
Following registration of first information report, the DVAC sleuths conducted a search in their house at Chokkalingapuram on Friday, a statement said.
According to the DVAC, Krishnamoorthi has been charged with misusing his post between May 1, 2019 and May 31, 2023 and had amassed wealth in his and his wife’s name.
The sleuths have seized some documents from the house.
The statement said that people who have knowledge about Government employees demanding bribe in cash or kind, directly or indirectly through agents or government employees having amassed wealth, can contact the DVAC Virudhunagar district unit functioning at Virudhunagar district Collectorate for lodging complaints.
They can contact the Additional Superintendent of Police, DVAC, over 94981-05882, Inspectors of Police over 94981-06118 and 83000-36678 and the office over 04562-252678 and 252155, the statement said.
