Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood on Friday launched the ‘Delhi Start-up Yuva’ festival at Netaji Subhas University of Technology.
Mr. Sood said the festival is part of the State government’s efforts to make Delhi the country’s start-up capital. He said more than 75,000 students are currently engaged in government-supported entrepreneurship programmes, registering an annual growth rate of 30%. Over 470 start-ups are being incubated across health care, sustainability, and manufacturing, Mr. Sood said.
He also encouraged students to convert ideas developed on campuses into market-ready products.
