The Thai duo of Poosit Supupramai and Jazz Janewattananond surged to the joint lead with scores of 201 after the third round of the Bharath Classic 2025 at the Kensville Golf Resort here on Saturday.

Local amateur Ishaan Chawhan, navigating his way back into the game after a series of injuries in the last three years, was the top Indian. He was three shots behind the Thai golfers, and in joint third place alongside Heemin Chang (Korea) and Panuphol Pittayarat (Thailand).

Janewattananond had the best score of the day, at 65, while his compatriot had an ace on the 16th and a birdie on the 18th.

Chawhan, who was sixth overnight, shot 68, his third straight round in the 60s, to improve his position.

The inaugural $500,000 Bharath Classic is joint-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) Tour.
