Bihar Assembly election LIVE: Over 1,250 file nominations for 1st phase of polls; NDA confident, INDIA bloc in disarray


Under the seat sharing arrangements in the INDIA block, Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (Liberation) has got 20 seats. The party on Saturday released the list of all 20 candidates. 

Out of 20, 14 are for the first phase and the remaining six for second phase. Six candidates are from Scheduled Caste (SC), one woman candidate from Digha Assembly seat. 

The CPI(Marxist-Leninist) has fielded Dhananjay from Bhore seat whereas Biswanath Chaudhary from Rajgir. In comparison to the 2020 election, the party has got two new seats Rajgir and Pipra Assembly seat. 

So far, 18 candidates have filed their nomination papers and the remaining two will file it today. Mehboob Alam and Anil Kumar will file the nomination from Balrampur and Pipra assembly seats respectively. As many as 10 candidates have been repeated, four are new faces and one candidate has been dropped.
