Political leaders, including E.P. Jayarajan, K.K. Ragesh, T.I. Madhusudanan, Rajmohan Unnithan, neighbours, and family members paying their last respects to BLO Aneesh George at Ettukudukka in Kannur on Monday.
Hundreds turned up in Ettukudukka on Monday to bid an emotional farewell to Booth Level Officer Aneesh George, 45, who was found dead at his residence on Sunday.
Relatives, neighbours, public representatives, and leaders from various political parties gathered at his residence to pay their final respects to the official.
He was found hanging in his bedroom on Sunday morning after dropping his wife and children at a nearby Church.
Aneesh had reportedly confided to his friends that he was struggling to cope with the heavy workload as BLO.
Political leaders, including Rajmohan Unnithan, MP, former minister E.P. Jayarajan, T.I. Madhusudanan, MLA, CPI(M) district secretary K.K. Ragesh and DCC president Martin George offered their condolences.
The funeral was held at the Ettukudukka Lourdes Mata Malankara Syrian Catholic Church cemetery.
