The Department of Urology, CURI Hospital conducted a campaign — “Check – Care – Conquer: Know Your Prostate and Own Your Health” — engaging fitness enthusiasts, doctors and the community to raise awareness on prostate cancer and prostate health. Free prostate health screenings and awareness sessions were conducted for the patients. The urology team headed by P. B. Sivaraman and Ananthakrishnan Sivaraman conducted an educational session on prostate health and prostate cancer. This included talks on the importance of surveillance in prostate cancer, treatment options available including robotic surgery and a prostate health update. An online physiotherapy session was also inaugurated, according to a press release.
