Car topples from flyover and lands on railway track injuring driver

A 32-year-old man sustained injuries after the car he was driving toppled from the Mukarba Chowk flyover and landed on the railway track in the Outer North Delhi on Sunday morning, said police.

The driver of the vehicle, Sachin Chaudhary, a resident of the railway colony in Ghaziabad, lost control of the vehicle, the officer added.

“On reaching the spot, it was found that four wheeler had fallen from the Mukarba Chowk flyover and fell on the railway tracks beneath the ring road opposite the Haiderpur Metro station,” said DCP (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami.

“Chaudhary said he was coming from Peera Garhi to Ghaziabad. When he reached near the stretch of the flyover that was over the railway tracks, he lost control of the vehicle and hit the pavement on the side of the ring road. The vehicle toppled over the railings and fell on the grassy slope near the tracks and then landed upside down on the railway tracks,” said the DCP.
