Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy criticised BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao over his recent comments about Group-I exams and selected candidates. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Mr. Reddy questioned Mr. Rama Rao’s intentions, asking if his goal was to prevent the people of Telangana from progressing.
Mr. Reddy demanded that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy take action against Mr. Rama Rao for his remarks, which alleged that candidates had paid ₹3 crore each for their posts. Mr. Reddy described these comments as ‘spitting venom and insulting’ 563 Group-I candidates.
The MP also responded to Mr. Rama Rao’s allegations about the Chief Minister’s whereabouts, suggesting that the BRS working president should focus on his own party’s leadership instead. Additionally, Mr. Reddy defended the State government’s actions, highlighting the Congress-led administration’s clearance of ₹1,200 crore in fee reimbursement.
