CHENNAI
Constant drizzle forced the cancellation of all the matches of the WTA 250 Chennai Open tennis tournament at the SDAT-Nungambakkam Stadium here on Monday.
There were three inspections at 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 4.45 p.m. After the third and final inspection, the announcement was made by Hiten Joshi, Tournament Director. To compensate, 16 matches will be held on Tuesday in all the three outside courts from noon.
The Indians, who will be in action are Vaishnavi Adkar against Donna Vekic (Croatia); Maaya Rajeshwaran against Shriivalli Bhamidipaty and Sahaja Yamalapalli against Priska Nugroho (Indonesia).
