CII Summit: Visakhapatnam is growth corridor of Andhra Pradesh, says Nara Lokesh

Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh, while addressing the inaugural session of the 30th CII partnership summit in Visakhapatnam on Friday (November 14, 2025), said Andhra Pradesh is becoming a growth engine for the country and Visakhapatnam is becoming a growth corridor for Andhra Pradesh.

“Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who is co-chairman of the present summit, is speeding up the construction of Amaravati as the State Capital, and the development of Visakhapatnam as financial capital of the State,” he said.

“We are quickly giving permissions and lands for investments coming to Andhra Pradesh. There is double-engine governments in Andhra Pradesh and at the Centre. If investments are made in Andhra Pradesh, we consider them as government investments, give full support to the investors,“ Mr. Lokesh said.

Mr. Lokesh further said Union Minister Piyush Goyal, who is chairman of the present summit, is helping Andhra Pradesh develop into a 2.4 trillion dollar economy.
