As the Mahila Court on Saturday convicted all the three accused in the Coimbatore gang-rape case, Public Prosecutor B. Jisha recalled how strangers came to the help of the survivor aged 20 and her boyfriend on the horrifying night of November 2, 2025.

After being assaulted by the convicts on the vacant land near Brindhavan Nagar around 10.50 p.m., the youth aged 25 fell unconscious. He could not find the survivor in the car when he regained consciousness. With his mobile phone also missing, he drove the vehicle from the ground to the mud road connecting Brindhavan Nagar and SIHS Colony.
