Congress MP, B. Manickam Tagore, has expressed shock over the names of two voters in the Thirupparankundram Assembly constituency having been typewritten in Hindi instead of Tamil in the draft voter list published on Friday (December 19, 025).
Talking to reporters in Virudhunagar on Sunday (December 21), the Virudhunagar MP wondered how the two names in booth number 64 of the Thirupparankundram Assembly segment could be typewritten in Hindi while names and details of all other 839 voters have been printed in Tamil.

The names of voters against serial numbers 551 and 552, both residents of Tamil Nadu, have been mentioned in Hindi.
“Such confusion in execution of Special Intensive Revision, which was unnecessary, was caused by the Election Commission along with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister, Amit Shah,” he said.
“Every person from the Chief Minister to the common man was made to run behind the booth-level officers to include their names during the SIR process that was carried out during the farming season,” he complained.
Again, another tension has been created by removing the names of 97 lakh voters in the draft electoral roll in Tamil Nadu, he said.
Out of 97 lakh voters, whose names have been dropped from the draft voter list for having shifted their residences, he hoped that at least 50 lakh voters would again find their names in the final voter list.
Though Mr. Tagore said that it was agreeable to remove the names of the deceased voters, he raised suspicion over the removal of voters’ names in the guise of double entry and voters having shifted their residences. This does not look like the process was aimed at sanitising the electoral rolls, but to further the agenda of the RSS and BJP.
