Despite rain and overcast conditions, CSIR-CCMB had a host of guests including students and school children to interact with the scientists and understand the ongoing research activities during the ‘Open Day’ held here on Friday.
It was on this day 40 years ago that the institute moved into the present campus at Habsiguda. Exhibits ranged from infectious, genetic and lifestyle diseases explaining about the cellular and molecular aspects besides the medical relevance.
“We take this programme very seriously where young people are informed about the opportunities in various scientific research areas,” Director Vinay K. Nandicoori, said a press release.
