
The Srilankan Airlines Dubai-Colombo flight, which was diverted, landing at the Thiruvananthapuram international airport due to bad weather at Colombo on Friday (November 28, 2025) morning.

With Cyclone Ditwah intensifying off the Sri Lanka coast and causing turbulent conditions, four international flights bound for Colombo were diverted early Friday (November 28, 2025) to the Thiruvananthapuram international airport in Kerala.
The diverted flights included Etihad Airways flight EY394D from Abu Dhabi, AirAsia flight AK047D from Kuala Lampur, Sri Lankan Airlines flight UL226 from Dubai, and Sri Lankan Airlines flight UL218D from Doha.
According to Thiruvananthapuram International Airport Ltd., the Etihad Airways aircraft landed at 3.44 am, the AirAsia flight at 4.37 am, and the Srilankan Airlines flights at 7.44 am and 7.55 am., respectively.
Domestic flight
A domestic flight, IndiGo flight 1185D, also diverted from Colombo, landed at Thiruvananthapuram at 9.49 a.m.
