Delhi HC issues notice to police, govt. over lack of CCTVs in police interrogation facilities


The Delhi High Court has issued notice to the Delhi police and the Delhi government on a petition highlighting lack of mandatory CCTV cameras in police stations and investigation offices in the Capital.

A Bench of Justice Navin Chawla and Justice Shail Jain passed the order on March 9 on the plea alleging illegal detention and interrogation of the petitioner, Ajay, in the absence of CCTV cameras. The court has listed the matter for hearing on April 30.
