Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Monday that her government will unveil a logo for Delhi that will serve as a new symbol of Capital’s distinct identity, rich history, culture, development and the aspirations of its people.

“The initiative aims to position Delhi as a strong, recognisable brand that represents democratic values, technological advancement, and citizen participation,” Ms. Gupta said in a statement.

Currently, the Delhi government’s websites use the national emblem as their logo. “Other States, such as Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, have their own logo. The new logo will replace the national emblem,” a CMO official said.

A logo design competition was organised on the MyGov portal, with September 26 as the deadline for submissions.

“A total of 1,800 designs were received from across the country. An expert committee, chaired by the Secretary of the Department of General Administration, will evaluate the entries and shortlist the final design. The committee includes experts from various universities, and the Joint Secretary of the Department of General Administration will serve as Member Secretary,” the CM said.
