Delhi’s air quality likely to improve slightly to ‘poor’ level

The air quality of the national capital worsened to the “very poor” category on Sunday and is likely to deteriorate to the same level, as per official data.

Delhi’s 24-hour average air quality index (AQI) was 301 at 4 p.m. on Monday, up from 315 a day earlier, as per the Central Pollution Control Board’s (CPCB) daily official bulletin, which is considered as the day’s official AQI. A higher value of AQI means an increase in air pollution.

“The air quality is very likely to be in the ‘poor’ category from 28.10.2025 to 30.10.2025. The outlook for the subsequent six days: the air quality is likely to be in the ‘poor’ to ‘very poor’ category,” said a daily bulletin from the Central government’s Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi.
