Department of Posts to offer services at doorstep


The Department of Posts will facilitate Central/State/EPFO pensioners to generate digital life certificates at their doorstep through postal delivery staff.

A press release said pensioners could generate their digital life certificate through their area postman by providing details, including Aadhaar number and biometric authentication, for a nominal charge of ₹70. In the Chennai City Region, 3,878 postal delivery staff are engaged in various doorstep services. In 2024-25, the postal delivery staff in the region had facilitated the generation of digital life certificates for nearly 1,00,408 pensioners. Special camps have also been organised in post offices since November 1. Pensioners may also register a service request in http://ccc.cept.gov.in/ServiceRequest/request.aspx or in Postinfo app.
