Dhoni inaugurates cricket stadium with world class facilities in Madurai

Former Indian Cricket Captain M.S. Dhoni on Thursday inaugurated the Velammal Cricket Stadium in Madurai. Fans thronged the airport to catch a glimpse of Dhoni.

According to a press release, the cricket stadium boasts world class facilities that include an international standard pitch, LED floodlights, modern player dressing rooms, digital scoreboard, practice nets, gymnasium, media and VIP galleries, and ample seating capacity designed to host even important matches and training programmes..

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT

One of the standout features of the Velammal Cricket Stadium is its best-in-class drainage system. It is designed to efficiently remove water from the field within 10 minutes allowing players to train and compete without any hindrance, the release said.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Dhoni said it was inspiring to see an educational institution investing in world-class sports infrastructure. The Velammal Cricket Stadium is not just a ground, it is a dream field for the next generation of cricketers. Facilities like this will shape future champions, he said.
