DMK provided bad governance, says Nainar Nagenthran

Bharatiya Janata Party state president Nainar Nagenthran on Friday accused the ruling DMK government, headed by M.K. Stalin, of providing “bad governance”. The State was witness to 24 lock-up deaths and several instances of sexual assault committed against minor girls and elderly women under the present regime, Mr. Nagenthran said.

Speaking at a public meeting organised by the BJP at Perambalur, Mr. Nagenthran alleged that the Chief Minister was “deceiving” the people and had failed to implement several election promises made by the DMK in the run up to the 2021 Assembly elections. Time has come to remove the dynastic rule of the DMK, he said and claimed that the people of the State were awaiting as to when the DMK government would leave.

The BJP-led government at the Centre had provided a huge amount of funds to Tamil Nadu for improvement of roads. Despite opposing the BJP government at the Centre, the Left Democratic Front government in Kerala had signed up for the Union government’s PM-SHRI Scheme. However, the DMK government was opposing the same scheme, he said and alleged that the ruling party did not want the people of the State to progress.  There were many Kendriya Vidyalaya schools in Kerala as compared to Tamil Nadu, he said.
