Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, has broken her silence on the businessman’s engagement to Bettina Anderson.
“I’m happy for Don,” Guilfoyle, 56, told The New York Times in an interview published on Sunday, January 4. “I wish him, of course, all the best.”
Don Jr., 48, announced his engagement to Anderson, 40, at a holiday event alongside his father, President Donald Trump, at the White House in December 2025.
“She said ‘yes,’ so that’s a big win for the end of the year,” he told party guests.

Anderson added, “It’s really been the most unforgettable weekend of my life, and I get to marry the love of my life. I feel just like the luckiest girl in the world.”
Donald and Anderson were first linked in December 2024. Their relationship came shortly after Don Jr. and Guilfoyle called off their engagement after six years together.
“Don and Kimberly broke up before the election and started to divide assets around the end of September,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in December 2024.
The source added that Trump and Guilfoyle “never discussed” their breakup publicly to avoid detracting from other “important issues.”
Don Jr. told Page Six at the time, “Kimberly and I will never stop caring for each other and will always keep a special bond. I could not be more proud of her and the important role she’ll continue to play [as U.S. ambassador to Greece].”
Another insider exclusively told Us after Don Jr. and Guilfoyle’s split that although their “relationship ran its course,” their connection was “genuine.” Meanwhile, the insider said that Don Jr.’s romance with Anderson is “different.”
“When it comes to his relationship with Bettina, it’s just about them,” the insider continued. “He wants a partner. She doesn’t need anything from him and just wants to be with him.”
Prior to his split from Guilfoyle, Don Jr. was married to Vanessa Trump from 2005 to 2018. The exes share daughters Kai, 18, and Chloe, 11, and sons Donald III, 16, Tristan, 14, and Spencer, 13.
Now, Don Jr. and Anderson are looking forward to their next chapter.
“Bettina is so happy she’s engaged to Don, and they’re already starting to plan the wedding,” a source exclusively told Us in December 2025. “She has wanted this from day one and knew he was her person. She loves how he has made her part of his kids’ lives and is such a good dad.”
The insider added, “The wedding will be around Don and his dad’s busy schedule. They want [Donald’s wife, first lady Melania Trump] and Donald to be there and have time to enjoy it. … Bettina has been taking such good care of herself by working out, getting facials, massages and just overall feeling healthy. So she feels good about walking down the aisle sooner than later.”
The source concluded, “Her ring is stunning and she can’t stop smiling and is beaming. Don is her dream man, and the whole family has been so welcoming to her.”
