Endowments Minister hails sanction of 2,838 houses in Nellore district under PMAY 2.0


Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy announced that over 2,838 houses were sanctioned to the poor in SPSR Nellore district, with government subsidy of ₹70.95 crore under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) 2.0. He informed that nearly 251 houses were sanctioned with subsidy of ₹6.27 crore in Atmakur constituency alone.

Addressing the media here on Tuesday, he said, “Close to ₹2.5 lakh will be sanctioned for the construction of each house for the poor in urban and suburban areas of the district under PMAY 2.0. The Central government will contribute ₹1.50 lakh, while the State government will be contributing ₹1 lakh to each household.”

“The sanction orders through GORT no. 65 came on September 16. This will fulfil the dream of owning a house for 40,410 families in urban areas of the State. The poor and middle class families who have been sanctioned houses should take advantage of this great opportunity to build their dream home,” the Minister added.

He conveyed special thanks to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for sanctioning houses across the State.
