Firm donates CRRT dialysis unit to Stanley Hospital 


The Government Stanley Medical College Hospital (SMCH) has received a Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Dialysis Unit.

The unit, valued at ₹20 lakh, was funded by M. Anandan, founder and executive chairman, Aptus Value Housing Finance Ltd under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This initiative was taken up following a request from P. Nandakumar, president, Rotary Club of Anna Nagar, Madras, based on an appeal from A. Aravind, SMCH dean, and M. Edwin Fernando, professor and head, Department of Nephrology, SMCH. Vinod Saraogi, District Governor, Rotary International District 3234, was present.

The CRRT unit will provide renal therapy for critically ill patients who cannot tolerate conventional dialysis, a press release said.
