Vice Chairperson & Managing Director, Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC), Kalpana Kumari, conducted a meeting to review about the progress of procurement and sales of Coffee, Minor Forest Produce (MFP), and Agricultural Produce (AP) for the financial year 2025-26 with GCC Divisional Managers, Society Managers, and senior officials at the GCC Head Office in the city on Saturday.
During the meeting, Divisional Managers and Society Managers presented the comparative progress report of last year’s procurement and sales versus the achievements made during the current financial year.
The officials presented that the current year achievement of forest & agricultural produce procurement is 378.43 as against 237 last year. The current year achievement of super bazaar sales is 309 as against 313.40 last year, while for petrol bunks is 14746.76 as against 15238. The current year achievement for financial assistance to coffee farmers is 99.85, as against 15.70 for the previous year.
The authorities stated that the performance progress for the period upto November 2025 under the financial year2025-26 was reviewed. The total annual target for the year is ₹62,016.02 lakh, against which Rs 24,048.59 lakh has been achieved up to November 2025. During the corresponding period last year, the achievement was Rs 23,478.86 lakh reflecting an overall progress of 102 compared to previous year.
Ms Kalpana Kumari directed all field and divisional teams to make efforts to achieve the remaining target of Rs 37,967.43 lakhs within the stipulated time.
For the financial year 2025-26, the coffee procurement target has been fixed at 1175 MT. The procurement prices announced are Rs 450 per kg for Arabica Parchament, Rs 270 per kg for Arabica Cherry, and Rs 170 per kg for Robusta Cherry, it may be noted.
