Given the lengths of their respective careers, it’s almost surprising to learn that George Clooney (‘Ocean’s Eleven’) and Annette Bening (‘American Beauty’) have not shared the screen before.
But that’s about to change, as, per Deadline, they are now both on board to star in ‘In Love,’ which adapts Amy Bloom’s memoir ‘In Love: A Memoir of Love and Loss,’ based on a painful moment in her life.

Weitz worked with Bloom to adapt her bestselling 2022 memoir, which follows what happens when she began to notice changes in her husband, Brian: He retired early from a new job he loved; he withdrew from close friendships; he talked mostly about the past. Suddenly, it seemed there was a glass wall between them, and their long walks and talks stopped. Their world was altered forever when an MRI confirmed what they could no longer ignore: Brian had Alzheimer’s disease.
Forced to confront the truth of the diagnosis and its impact on the future he had envisioned, Brian was determined to die on his feet, not live on his knees. Supporting each other in their last journey together, Brian and Amy made the unimaginably difficult and painful decision to go to Dignitas, an organization based in Switzerland that empowers a person to end their own life with dignity and peace.

Clooney will be back on our screens next month, starring with Adam Sandler in Noah Baumbach’s latest movie, ‘Jay Kelly.’
He’s also close to returning as Danny Ocean for ‘Ocean’s Fourteen’, the latest instalment in the heist movie franchise, which is making positive steps forwards towards shooting.
As for Bening, she stars in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s ‘The Bride!’, due out on March 6 next year and is part of the cast for the latest entry in the sprawling ‘Yellowstone’ TV universe, ‘The Dutton Ranch.’
When will ‘In Love’ be on screens?
‘In Love’ has yet to lock down a distributor, so there’s no release date on the books yet. But with a cast like this, it’s surely not going to be long until the movie has a home.
