The Delhi government on Thursday began a survey to trace school dropouts and re-enroll them.
The 15-day survey, run by the Samagra Shiksha branch of the Delhi Education Department, will also look for students who have never attended school and children with special needs.
According to a notification issued last week, special admission cells at schools will be tasked with enrolling students.
“The initiative aims to ease the admission process, ensure maximum enrolments and achieve the goal of no child left out of school,” a statement said. Samagra Shiksha has conducted a similar survey last year as well.
