Minister for Health Satya Kumar Yadav on Friday launched padayatra to mark one-year of the Coalition government, in Dharmavaram town of Sri Sathya Sai district.
The Minister along with TDP Dharmavaram in-charge Paritala Sriram, Jana Sena State general secretary Chilakam Madhusudan Reddy and other leaders took part in the door-to-door visits in Sivanagar, Sanjay Nagar, Gandhinagar, Indiranagar and other localities.
He took note of residents complaints regarding poor drainage, damaged internal roads, erratic water supply, problems with streetlights, and poor condition of electricity poles. He also noted the problems faced by the handloom workers in Dharmavaram town.
Mr. Yadav said that ₹110 crore worth of Detailed Project Reports had been submitted to the concerned departments to improve the power sector in the district, apart from allocation of funds through Finance Commission.
TDP leader Paritala Sriram said that the outreach has helped restore public faith in the government that was lost during the previous Jagan Mohan Reddy-led administration.
