At the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025, a set of films will be screened in PictureTime Digiplex’s inflatable theatres. This includes three Shah Rukh Khan classics– Chak De! India, Darr and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, marking the first time for the superstar’s films to be shown in the mobile digital theatre format. Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail and the Malayalam blockbuster, Manjummel Boys, are also part of the programming at the festival.
National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) have partnered with PictureTime Digiplex to install the inflatable theatres in the upcoming 56th edition of the festival in Goa. The theatre will be set up at the festival’s main event hub, Kala Academy campus.

The inflatable theatre will screen films across four categories: Inspirational Films, Indian Panorama Classics, Nostalgia, and Children’s Cinema. Contemporary Hindi films in the list include Rajkummar Rao’s Srikanth, Rani Mukerji’s Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway and Sooraj Barjatya’s Uunchai.
Classic selections will showcase Satyajit Ray’s Shatranj Ke Khilari, Vijay Anand’s Teesri Manzil, Yash Chopra’s Chandni and Kala Patthar, among others. Mira Nair’s Salaam Bombay! and Irrfan Khan’s celebrated Qissa also form part of the programming.

Beyond the main venue, PictureTime will also roll out open-air screenings across multiple sites in North and South Goa, enabling local residents to access festival films. The mobile theatre company’s collaboration with IFFI dates back to 2017 when they organised Bioscope Village at the festival.
